The Roman Empire started to be attacked from different places, so the Roman Army could not defend it at all. About AD410 The Roman Emperor ordered the last soldiers in Britain to leave it. The Britons would have to defend themselves as best as they could. New people came to Britain in ships across the North Sea. Historians call them Anglo-Saxons. They occupied part of Britain.
